THREE COMMON FACTORS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SLEEP JOURNEY

EPISODE 1 OF THE AFTER THE STORK PODCAST

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

Over my time with clients, I have found the following three factors to be important for each family's sleep journey: education, planning, and support.

EDUCATION

Understanding the nature of sleep allows you to set realistic expectations based on your child’s age, to be proactive in building a strong sleep foundation, and, if your child is struggling, to figure out why and what changes need to be made in order to help your child.

PLANNING

When it comes to your child’s sleep, it can be like throwing spaghetti. Creating a plan for your specific sleep goal can help you with being more intentional. When you are creating a plan, you will want to take into consideration several different components that contribute to sleep. I refer to this as ESRA+. More on that in episode three of the podcast.

SUPPORT

When you are exhausted and stressed, it is very easy to be driven by emotions. Having an outsider’s perspective, especially one who is an expert with child sleep, is often the missing link when working to create healthy sleep habits for a child.
