YOU ARE ENOUGH

Just in case no one has told you lately. In case you've been hard on yourself. In case you just lost a job. In case you are exhausted. In case you feel like you are failing....You are enough. You are enough!

The house is dirty? You're still enough.

You're hairs a mess? You're still enough.

You forgot to put in that grocery order? You're still enough.

What happens to you externally does NOT define what type of parent you are. It is what is on the inside that matters. It is the love and affection you share with your child. It is the time you spend together. Let me tell you something about being a parent. You might feel like you're not enough at times, but that child that looks into your eyes every single day? She knows you're enough. That child that squeezes your neck every time she sees you? She knows you're enough. That child who screams because she can't have anymore snacks because you can't just go to the store anytime you want? Well, she also knows you're enough. Parenting is hard. It's a balancing act. You are trying to give as much love and affection as possible while somehow setting limits and instilling life lessons. And during these unprecedented times? It's even harder!

You do not need to be super human to be a super parent.

At the end of all of this, your child is gonna remember how hard you fought for your family. Your child is going to remember the extra snuggles, the extra time spent playing in the yard, the homemade dinners. Your child is going to remember the extra laughs and love.

So what if you don't have it all figured out. You WILL figure it out. You always do. Because, honey, you...yes YOU...are enough.
